1/2″- 5/8″ HD Folding Handle Binder

Item #: 43-4712
SKU: 665698072113 Category:

Multiprens Folding Handle Ratchet Binder is designed to be used with a chain and grade up to a maximum of 1/2″ G100 or 5/8″ G80. Built from drop-forged, heat-treated steel, it offers maximum strength and durability for heavy-duty load securement. The offset handle position and vinyl-coated barrel allow for good grip. The folding handle keeps the handle out of the way after tightening and also allows for easy storage. This ratchet binder features a 3-position thumb lever pawl with free-spin neutral detent to quickly spread the hooks and take up chain slack. The pawl can be padlocked, so securing your binder, your chain, and your load has never been so easy.

Not for Overhead Lifting – This binder is not designed for lifting, hoisting, or suspending loads overhead. Use only for chain tensioning and tie-down applications.
Do Not Exceed Working Load Limit (WLL) – Exceeding the marked WLL can cause equipment failure and result in serious injury or death. Always match binder capacity with the proper chain grade size.
Use Only With the Approved Chain – Use only with Grade 70 transport chain. Mismatched components are a serious hazard.
Inspect Before Each Use – Check for wear, cracks, bent parts, damaged threads or missing components. Do not use if any defects are found.
Keep Body Clear During Tensioning – Keep hands, face, and body clear of the binder handle and load path while applying or releasing tension to avoid injury in case of sudden release.
Lock Handle in Folded Position After Use – Always fold the handle down and secure it to prevent accidental opening or interference during transport.
Avoid Shock Loading – Sudden or impact loading can exceed WLL and cause failure.
Release Tension Safely – Ensure the load is supported and personnel are clear before releasing the binder. Recoil can occur if not release properly.
Training Required – Operators must be trained in proper load securement techniques and understand the risks associated with improper binder use.
